Pacific Grove Adult School and the Pacific Grove Community Garden

Picture
The Pacific Grove Adult School provides space on the property to the Pacific Grove Community Garden.  This is a project managed by Karin Locke of Sustainable Pacific Grove.  PGAS Administration and CAL-AM worked together with Karin Locke to approve a 2,600 gallon rainwater harvesting system supporting the Community Garden!  Thanks to CAL-AM for funding the project demonstrating how rainwater can be a viable option for irrigating residential or commercial requirements.  The school sits across the street from the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in PG.  It is a wonderful site and provides many local families plots of land to grow food.  This years Earth Day celebration brought a host of local politicians including Bill Monning, Mark Stone, and PG Mayor Pro Tempore, Robert Huitt.  Thanks to Karin Locke for planning the day with many exhibitors of sustainable products!
