5,000 Gallon Above Ground Tank Added to Expand Current Capacity
This homeowner in Carmel Valley Village wanted to expand their current four underground tank system with a 5,000 gallon above ground tank to be used for irrigating their yard. The homeowner chose a Bushman Mocha colored tank. The four underground tanks collect rainwater from the home and barn. The water is now pumped to the 5,000 gallon tank to be used to irrigate the landscape. Two Grundfos MQ3-45 compression pumps were installed. One is used to suck water from the underground tanks and send it to the 5,000 gallon irrigation tank. The second pump is connected to the 5,000 gallon tank and pumps rainwater to the drip irrigation system and hose bibs around the residence. These homeowners almost doubled their rainwater holding capacity and are ready for El Nino to bring lots of rain this fall in 2015! Great job planning ahead!
