Your Rainwater Harvesting System may be eligible for a rebate!
Please click on the following links to see the Monterey Peninsula Water Management Districts Rule 141 and Rebate form. The MPWMD and Cal Am offer rebates of $25 per 100 gallons of cistern installed up to a maximum of 25,000 gallons. Click on the link below to view MPWMD's "Rule 141" letter "C", Point 5 PDF file to understand what is required to qualify for the rebate. Under this program if you installed a 500 gallon cistern you would be eligible to receive a rebate of $125. 1000 gallon cistern would allow for a $250 rebate. 3000 gallon cistern would allow for a $750 rebate. After you turn in your completed form the MPWMD will set up an inspection at your home to view your cistern and make sure your roof area supports the size of the cistern you installed before final approval . Please read it thoroughly, fill in the appropriate areas and drop it off at the MPWMD offices in Ryan Ranch:
